Ally Jarmanning champions data and public records at WBUR in Boston. She focuses on policing and technology, and leads training in the newsroom. Before jumping into radio, she was a crime reporter at The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio, and reported for The Patriot Ledger and Boston.com in Massachusetts. She taught journalism at Boston University, her alma mater. She was twice a finalist for the best news writer in Ohio, and won a regional Murrow Award for her cannabis coverage at WBUR. She was a 2019 member of the Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Media, and she now provides coaching and mentoring through DigitalWomenLeaders.com (you can book a call with her.)
